Swell by Ripple has carried its momentum forward from last years event by announcing Bill Clinton, the 42ndPresident of the United States, as the keynote speaker for this year’s conference.
As an advocate for technology and innovation during his presidency, he established and implemented programmes that bridged the “digital divide” bringing new technology to developing communities across the world.
Following his keynote address President Clinton will hold a question-and-answer session that will be moderated by Gene Sperling, a current member of Ripple’s board of directors, who served under both President Clinton and Obama as a National Economic Council Director and Advisor.
This year’s Swell conference will be held in downtown San Francisco, the home of Ripple, and will take place on October 1st. Swell connects the world’s leading experts on policy, payments and technology allowing for stimulating dialogue on present and future of global payments.
A series of Flashtalks will also be held on topics ranging from “How to Launch a Payments App for Millions” to companies sharing their experience in making cross border payments that improved their customer experience giving them a competitive advantage.
