The Cryptocurrency Market as a whole jumped up by 8%. Bitcoin itself went up by 5%. The bounce was attributed to news that Blackrock was exploring entering the Cryptocurrency Market and Blockchain world.
Interestingly, The CEO, Fink 6 months previous to the announcement called Cryptocurrency an index of money laundering. In the Press Release on Monday, he then backtracked telling the world, Blackrock has been investigating Blockchain for the past 4 years. The working group is set to compare themselves to their nearest competitors – Goldman Sachs who are in the process of creating a Cryptocurrency Trading desk.
